Story
This walk is in memory of the wonderful Iain James Ross- an amazing dad, stepdad, partner, family member and friend.
Me and Hatty will be walking from Hastings to Eastbourne in his name, and anyone who would like to join us along the way is more than welcome. There’s absolutely no pressure at all. If walking the whole route isn’t for you, people are also very welcome to meet us along the way for a drink either at The Sackville in Bexhill or at The Harvester in Sovereign Harbour at the end.
We’ll be stopping halfway in Bexhill for a toast to Iain and finishing the walk at Sovereign Harbour for another drink, very much in true Iain style. He believed in enjoying life, celebrating the little things, and never missing a chance to raise a glass with the people he loved.
Losing Iain has changed our lives forever, but he would never have wanted us to stop living. He always encouraged us to be strong, to keep going, and to live fully and we will do just that. Not just for ourselves, but for him too.
This walk is our way of doing something positive in his name. Iain was the kind of man who would help anyone without hesitation and never liked to see anyone struggle. Supporting others came naturally to him, and we hope this fundraiser reflects the kindness, generosity, and quiet strength he showed every day.
Thank you so much for supporting us, joining us, or donating, it truly means more than we can put into words.
