Walking The Island

Walking The Island · 10 April 2023
In April 2023 I will be walking solo around the entire perimeter of the island of Ibiza.
One man. A tent. 10 days. 220km.
I have never done anything like this before, and to say I'm a bit terrified would be putting it lightly. I'm more of a hotel and room service guy, rather than a put up a tent and sleep outside guy. But, I'm excited to challenge myself, my mind and my body to do something I've never done before, and all to raise money for an amazing cause.
Farleigh Hospice were a massive support in the final days and weeks of my Grampy's life, who we lost in September 2022. Their work meant he was able to be comfortable, at home, and at peace in his final days. This, as well as so many other things they were able to do for us, was a priceless gift at a dark and challenging time for my family and me.
Now, I want to do whatever I can to raise money for Farleigh Hospice, so that their incredible work can carry on for as many people and families as possible. However small, it makes a difference, and means so much to so many, but mainly, me.

Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity (no. 284670) which provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex.
They help patients to live as actively as possible from the point of diagnosis to the end of their life, by providing physical and emotional care, free of charge.
With approximately 40% of their yearly running costs being funded by the local NHS, they rely on the support and goodwill of the local mid Essex community to contribute to the £16,500 it costs to provide their services each day.
