Story

This February, Nik threw me a surprise birthday party as the hostess with the mostess who goes above and beyond for everyone around her. In April she took her two children to Florida to watch them compete in the world championships for cheerleading. Fast forward to July, she has been diagnosed with cancer and started her treatment at The Beatson and is still the positive big cousin I’ve always looked up to and powering through illness.

I am taking part in The Beatson’s 10K walk to support her and raise as much money as possible for her treatment and those like her living with cancer.

The last ten years have seen over 14,000 participants walk over 86,800 miles - making it Glasgow's brightest sponsored walk as we turn Glasgow's west end Beatson yellow. This fun-filled 10k walk is a great way to raise much needed funds to support patients and families living with cancer.

At Beatson Cancer Charity we believe that no-one should face cancer on their own. This has always been our aim and we will work hard to continue to support even more people and families in the years to come.
