Story
Currently aiming to commence my next adventure in May 2024, I will be walking Croatia's national scenic long distance hiking trail that connects the easternmost, northernmost, westernmost and southernmost points of Croatia. Covering a distance of over 2,200km (1,400 miles) in under 90 days. I will be keeping you updated along the way as I journey my way across Croatia’s picturesque mountain trails, forest paths, coastal walks, and everything in between.
So what will Nystagmus Network do with the money raised?
The Nystagmus Network has been pushing the boundaries of nystagmus research, through direct financial investment, recruiting study participants and publicising results, since it was founded in 1984.
There’s a lot of exciting research being undertaken in the nystagmus field and the charity continues to work with UK researchers to help improve outcomes for adults and children living with congenital or acquired nystagmus. They’re also reaching out across the world with their annual international nystagmus research symposium.
IS A CURE POSSIBLE?
The more research into the causes of nystagmus the better our understanding of how it might be prevented, and, eventually, treated, particularly in the many cases where there is a genetic component. Until a cure is found, they continue to strive to improve quality of life for everyone living with nystagmus.
Your donation could be the key to all that.
