Story
Every year, Wagada Digital come together to fundraise for a charity that is close to the team’s hearts. This year, our charity partner is Youth Talk.
Youth Talk’s mission is to provide the best possible mental health support to young people in St Albans and the surrounding areas, for free. It's important for there to be a safe, trustworthy, calm and professional environment for young people to feel comfortable in and share whatever is on their mind, Youth Talk can offer this.
As part of our fundraising efforts, the team taking on various challenges and activities throughout the year to support Youth Talk, including:
The 70KM Swim & 200KM bike ride for Mental Health Awareness Month:
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Month 2024 was movement. Our team knows the importance of keeping both mind and body healthy, and how the two go hand in hand. Two members of our team tackled some mammoth challenges in May:
- Emily swam every day before work to reach 70KM by the end of the month. That's the distance to France and back!
- Daria took Youth Talk global, completing a 200KM bike ride through Hualien, Ruisui, Chihshang, and Taitung in Taiwan. That's nearly five marathons back to back!
