Last year we trekked across the Lake District, pedalled through bike-a-thons, whipped up some sweetness with cake sales, and even kicked it on the field alongside local businesses in football tournaments to raise money for charity.

2024 will be no different as we raise money for ANDYSMANCLUB, our chosen charity for the year ahead.

We at Virtue Technologies are excited to announce that we are raising funds for ANDYSMANCLUB, a vital organisation dedicated to supporting men’s mental health and well-being. Our goal is to help spread awareness and provide the necessary resources to those who need it most.

About ANDYSMANCLUB

ANDYSMANCLUB is a men’s mental health charity that was established to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues and to offer support for men who are struggling. The club offers free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for men to come together, share their experiences, and support each other.

Why We’re Supporting ANDYSMANCLUB

Mental health is a crucial issue, and at Virtue Technologies, we believe in the importance of supporting initiatives that promote mental well-being. Men often find it challenging to talk about their struggles and seek help, which is why ANDYSMANCLUB’s work is so important. By raising funds, we aim to:

Our Fundraising Activities

Charity Abseil Challenge

Date: 28th June 2024

Location: Palazzo Building, Trafford Park, Manchester

Details: On June 28th, our team members took part on a thrilling 170ft abseil down the iconic Palazzo Building in Trafford Park, Manchester. This daring descent was not for the faint-hearted, but our brave participants were ready to conquer their fears for a worthy cause.

60 Mile Bike Ride Challenge

Date: 14th July 2024

Route: Manchester to Blackpool, starting at the Piazza, MediaCityUK

Details: Our second major event was a challenging 60-mile bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool. Starting at the vibrant Piazza in MediaCityUK, our team of cyclists pedalled through picturesque landscapes, pushing their limits in support of men’s mental health. This endurance ride symbolises the journey many men face in overcoming mental health challenges.

Virtual Bike-a-thon Challenge

Date: 24th September 2024

Location: Virtue Technologies Skelmersdale office

Details: We set a target of 200 km for our virtual ride around the Greek island of Rhodes. However, we exceeded expectations by covering an impressive total distance of 256.52 km between 8 am and 5 pm, which was achieved by 20 keen cyclists. We also had Stone bakers pizza van come which added to the proceeds.

Halloween fundraising fun

Date: 29th and 31st October 2024

Location: Virtue Technologies Skelmersdale office

Details: On the 29th October we had a Halloween bake sale featuring a delicious spread of cakes and treats helped us raise funds. Following this on the 31st of October we hosted a Halloween Costume Competition with some amazing costumes were on display!
