Story
This is my 3rd year with the Mind ice hockey team and with a change of image we have a change of charities.
I chose to stay with Mind because they cover everything as well as continue the vital work they do to support those who need a little extra support or a push in the right direction.
For various reasons, i have been seeing a brilliant therapist for the last 2 years and little by little she has helped me hate myself a little less. People see bubbly and confident but that's not always how people are on the inside. I have learned to accept my neurodiversity, once i finally knew what was going on, and i hope with that knowledge i can support others to feel less wrong in the world. That it's ok to be a little strange and eccentric but also sometimes overwhelmed and anxious. We can be kind to ourselves while feeling sad, we are all great amazing beings and are worth every second of this life we have been given, We can take control of our lives and create beautiful pictures with how we see the world.
I call it my neurodiverce super power.
This money raised will help with awareness for anyone else who will need support at anytime in their lives and the money raised with get those vital life lines.
I am so honored to be able to play with this amazing group of supportive mad people who have become family, and i cannot wait for Sheffield 2024 to see all the teams take to the ice again for the Uk Allstars.
