Story
I am taking part in The Myton Hospices Abseil down Coventry Cathedral to help them raise vital funds!
Myton provided care for Rachel, my intelligent, funny, much-loved and missed Aunt, in the final weeks of her life.
There aren't really words that can do justice to the vibrant, lively love-filled life she led. But I can say that I am honoured to have been her niece.
Despite being busy (working multiple jobs for most of her life), she was always off on adventures (even leading to an extended family holiday in Mexico to see her get married) and always had time for her family. She had a gift for knowing what would help make a situation feel manageable or knowing how to move things forward which included pushing me to apply for a bar job when I was forced to suspend my university studies (because in her words "a bar job would be the making of me 😂" ).
I feel truly lucky to have called such a wonderful woman my aunt.
The care she received at Myton was incredible and was free of charge. They cannot support patients like Rachel and families like mine without support, so we're grateful for any donations to this fundraiser.
