When I was 8yrs old, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and I under went 2.5yrs of intensive treatment, including chemotherapy and steroids. I was one of the fortunate ones to survive with minimal complications and side effects.

However, each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer and around 1 in 8 children do not survive. If it wasn’t for amazing charities like these, this number would be a lot more.

In March 2024, I will be celebrating 20yrs post diagnosis and what better way to celebrate then run a half marathon!
