Help the Longs raise some money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association!

We are doing this in memory of Michael, husband and Dad, who sadly died in July 2024. Michael was diagnosed with MND in March 2024 and died in July 2024. Although progression was rapid and we didn’t have a lot of time, Michael was supported by the MND team in Newcastle as well as local health professionals in Northumberland. He was keen to support the MNDA by raising some money to support families in the future.

Michael spent many happy days climbing mountains in the Lake District both with friends and his family. His first mountains were climbed with the Scouts and in later years he loved dragging Grace, Ruth and Harry out on to the fells!

We thought 7 mountains in 7 days would be a fitting tribute to Michael as our 7 in 7 challenge, supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
