Story
21 March is World Down Syndrome Day and Sam and I have our running shoes on ....
We are taking part in the PSDS Marchathon running and walking 26.2 miles (42.2km) over a week to raise money for a charity which is close to our hearts and provides invaluable support to over 130 individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Our target is £855 which is the amount we have spent this week equipping our new kitchen in our new building in Reigate. This equipment will support our pre-school groups, our community activities and allow us to introduce new life skills support for our teenagers and young adults - something that is vital but missing from local services.
I will aim to run 5km per day for 7 days and Sam and I will run/walk 1km a day together totalling 42km (just need to add 0.2 one day to make it a marathon). For those who know us, we will never do a marathon in a morning like some of you; over a week will be a challenge but we are up for it.
Please support us in any way you can - this is a brilliant cause and there will be pain involved!
