We raise funds for DHDDS to further research into the gene mutation

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Please visit https://www.curedhdds.org/ to find more about Cure DHDDS and our friends the Dixon family. The photos above are of our daughter Maddie with their lovely daughter Rosie and their brilliant son Tom. Both sadly have DHDDS gene mutations.

The mission is to support families like theirs affected by DHDDS gene mutations, help drive research into these little-known and recently discovered mutations, and help find treatments so that those affected by variants in the DHDDS gene can lead the best life possible. The vision is a world where there is a cure for everyone with a DHDDS variant.

On July 9th we are walking 50 km from Windsor to Mortlake to raise funds and awareness of DHDDS mutations. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated, as would any effort to spread awareness of DHDDS to your own friends and family.

Thank you x

Cure DHDDS is founded by parents of children diagnosed with a DHDDS gene mutation. We are not scientists or medical professionals but parents trying to find the best way of helping our children. Our mission is to support families diagnosed with DHDDS gene mutations, help drive research into these little-known mutations, and help find treatments so that those affected by variants in the DHDDS gene can lead the best life possible. Our vision is a world where there is a cure for everyone with a DHDDS variant.
