Story

What else would you like to do on your 15th birthday….walk from Whitby to Marske of course 🫣

Noah has decided to take part again this year, we did back in 2022 and raised over £500. If you’re reading this and can spare a few ££’s to raise funds for a fabulous local

charity, it would be much appreciated.

The Team was established in 1965 and normally has around 45 – 50 Search and Rescue Team Members (including probationers) who are on call 24-hours a day, every day of the year. We also have approximately 20 Support Team members assisting with all aspects of the team but especially fundraising and acting as casualties.

We are all volunteers; we have no paid staff and our services are offered free to anyone who needs them. We are reliant on the generosity of local people and groups to cover the £42,000 it costs to run the Team every year.
