Story
Thank you for visiting my just giving page.
On September 5th 2023, I will be embarking on one of my biggest challenges yet whilst raising funds for the Bradford BIG Neonatal Appeal.
Myself and a work colleague, will be attempting the Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu, in Peru. This 4 day trek, will take us through valleys and mountain passes, including the climb of Dead Woman's Pass at 4,270 m above sea level. There will be no running water, basic camping facilities, extreme altitude and no toilet facilities which all adds to the challenge. However I am hoping for beautiful scenery and wonderful sunsets along the way!
I am doing this trek to help extend and refurbish the family rooms on the Neonatal Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
These rooms will ensure more parents, can be close to their babies and have comfortable place to stay. The plans include building, 5 more bedrooms with en suite facilities, a communal kitchen and living area and a bedroom with a private garden area.
Bradford Neonatal Unit is a specialised regional centre, caring for around 500 pre-term and poorly babies each year from the Yorkshire and Humber area, so families come from far and wide.
Nothing can prepare a family for their time on the Neonatal Unit, but we can make it more bearable. Your donation can help turn these plans into fruition and transform the experience of neonatal care for many families across the region.
Thank you in advance of any donation you feel able to give no matter how big or small, it is all hugely appreciated.
