In the last 12 months 3 people who lived life to the full, inspired others and made the world a better place passed away from cancer. Lucy Ruthven, Karin Ayers and Andy Jones were all amazing people and are much missed.

I’m 60 on 3rd July so what better time to set myself a challenge and raise some much needed funds at the same time. On Sunday 14th July I will be taking part in Race for the Stones, a 50K walk on the Ridgeway in memory of these lovely people who would not have batted an eyelid at such a challenge.

I haven’t done much training but seeing the courage and determination that the three of them fought this horrid disease with will get me across that finish line. They never stopped fighting and had so much courage.
