Story

I'm Walking 50km (31 miles) in April 24 for 4 inspirational and amazing and super strong ladies who have undergone battles with cancer, injuring real pain and even in their darkest hours they remained strong and encouraging to others in their cancer journey.

Its for them, who have shown such strength that I'm undertaking another Ultra Challenge, and although after the suffering I had walking my last Ultra it is nothing in comparison to what these wonderful ladies and others have undergone.

Firstly For my mum who in 2020 unexpectedly discovered she had ovarian cancer during a different operation. After multiple operations mum has survived cancer but now struggles with the daily pain and effects of the cancer, determined to carry on whatever pain she is in. It's this strength and determination that is admirable and gets me through my challenges xx

For my dear Friend ❤️ Amber who being so young in her 40's discovered 2 years ago with no symptoms at all she had breast cancer and through her cancer journey, all her fears and pain again has completely shared her experiences with others helping others throughout their journey. Amber again has shown real strength and determination to get through and has successfully achieved being cancer free, and continues with the battles ongoing with the afterlife of cancer.

My dear cousin Sharlene who sadly lost her life to breast cancer (before reaching her 40's) back in 2019 after an extreme fight, living life to the full, making everyone smile daily. She is my complete ray of sunshine, our sunflower shining brightly who we deeply miss, but will always be close by.

And finally Emma T, another friend in her 40's who has fought Bowel Cancer also in 2021 and whom I will be forever grateful for sharing her posts on FB as without her openness I would have never been to the drs about my issues and got back to where I am today xx

Not only am I walking for these 4 courageous ladies but for those we have sadly lost and those who continue to fight and are being supported by Macmillan today in their cancer journey. Without the care of people like the Macmillan the journey would be so much harder and we will never get to a cure to help fix this horrible disease that takes so many.
