Story
I'm raising money for Spectrum Gaming because: I have been a part of the Spectrum Gaming community since it was launched in 2020. Since then I have been able to make life-long friends, alongside being able to help out as a Young Person volunteer in the community, as well as with advocacy, with the work that I've helped out with being shared with many schools and councils throughout Greater Manchester and the UK. Because of this, I am going to do a 12-hour livestream where I play a variety of different games, hoping to raise £150 for Spectrum Gaming.
Spectrum Gaming is working to create a world where every autistic child knows that who they are is ok, that they can be themselves whilst developing meaningful relationships and achieving their personal goals.
They do this by providing spaces (both online and face-to-face) where autistic young people feel safe and accepted and have opportunities to explore who they are amongst others with shared lived experiences.
Their advocacy projects has created a movement that aims to positively influence society and bring strategic change to meet the needs of autistic youth across the UK
