Story
Thank you for visiting our page!
Supporting disabled children, young people and their families has been a cause that both Kate and Verity care very deeply about, with Kate leading services for young adults with autism very early on in her career.
Since 2022, Verity has been a Trustee for a wonderful local charity - Bexley Snap. They run a whole bunch of clubs, activities and events for disabled children and young people - not only giving them a chance to thrive and have fun, but giving their parents and families some regular breaks from caring responsibilities.
Like all small charities, Snap has really taken a hit during the cost of living crisis. Due to various economic pressures, both individual giving and overall funding have reduced in recent years. This means that the Snap team are spending an increasing amount of time putting together grant applications, on top of running all the regular clubs and activities.
So, we are asking for your help :) your donations will go directly towards the running costs of this amazing charity. From supporting staff and volunteers, to buying equipment for young people, and even running the mini-bus - every single donation will make a huge difference to the families who use their services, as well as the wonderful hardworking team who provide them. When I say the work of Bexley Snap is life changing, I really mean it. The joy and support that families receive is unbelievable, and it's so important that small organisations such as this remain within our community.
In return for your cash, Kate and Verity are going to run our butts off in a half marathon on Sunday 28th January.
We can't wait to receive your support!
