Week in and week out, we dutifully drop our kids off at Vanessa Class School of Dance for their dance lessons. Catching a peek of their classes at the end, as they make it look so easy! Or so we thought...so when Vanessa asked us mums and dads if we fancied having a go, we merrily accepted!

Little did we know that what she actually meant was that our class of mums and dads would be performing in the show we usually watch our kids in! The colour drained from most of our faces as the thought of dancing (without an alcoholic beverage to help!) in front of a live audience dawned on us.

Many of us are guilty of watching Strictly or The Masked Dancer and thinking we could do better than them. But week one of our lessons and we all realised it's so much harder than it looks. Cue the worried questions, panic and drop out from the men!

So, what better motivation for the remaining 10 mums than to be doing this for an amazing charity, Fight for Life. VC Mums 2023 are just 9 weeks away from our first live performance and we need your help please. We want to raise £10,000 to help children affected by cancer.

University College Hospital London has the only specialist children's radiotherapy unit in the country and it's vital to their treatment. Please please support us, every penny counts to help those children whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer.

For most of us, this is the first time we've ever danced live, in front of an audience on a stage (well at least since we were kids!) and we're terrified. So make all the rehearsals, stress and worry worthwhile 🙏
