Story

18 staff members from Vauvert Primary School are taking on the Val De Terres Everest challenge during the month of January.

As a team, our aim is to reach the summit a minimum of 3 times in 30 days.

Any donations welcome as we raise money for the incredible Les Bourgs.

Below is more information about the challenge from the organisers.

Val De Terres Everest Challenge.

This walking event will take participants around the Le Val de Terres, George Road, Havelet circuit. Each lap is 1.6KM long and 77M elevation, with a total of 115 laps, is the equivalent total height of Mount Everest (8848M) upon completion.

The challenge is set to run for 30 days, commencing on 1st January. A Strava app is available for all participants to keep track of their progress, as well as a Facebook page to see the team’s progress, organise teaming up times, and support each other.

Entrants can do this as part of a relay team, as pairs, or with family members, dividing the overall laps between them should they wish.

We are raising funds for Les Bourgs Hospice, and are aiming for every participant or team to achieve the minimum £115 via their Justgiving page (£1 per lap).

This event will offer you a truly attainable but challenging goal, assist in improved fitness and body composition, as well as have you feeling great both physically and mentally.

Your Sherpa status awaits you!
