Kilimanjaro Climb for Rafiki Thabo, 17 August 2023
Rafiki Thabo patrons, graduates and supporters take on the challenge of a lifetime! Raising funds to enable access to education for disadvantaged children empowering them towards a better future out of poverty.

Story

We are attempting to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain on the planet, with a wonderful group of people to raise awareness and funds for a small charity Rafiki Thabo Foundation.

Rafiki Thabo enable young people in Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho, including those living with disabilities, to be empowered through education to enable them to reach their full potential and initiate positive change in their local communities. By providing scholarships, school meals and improving school learning environments, Rafiki Thabo helps break the poverty cycle for some of the most vulnerable in society. £400 raised will fund a child for an entire year’s secondary education and school meals.  If we reach our target – that’s five children in Africa.

We have completely self-funded the cost of our climb, so all money raised here (£, €, or $) goes directly to the charity.  We’re preparing hard and digging deep for our challenge – with your support we can make a real difference.  Thank you!
