Story
My aim is to fund at least one day of research into brain tumours - hence my target of £2,740. However, I think we can do better than that! Reaching this target will not only fund one day of research, but will also enable us to place a tile commemorating Ant at Queen Mary's Hospital who are one of the Centres of Excellence conducting research into glioblastoma.
Ant's 10 month battle against glioblastoma (a particularly aggressive brain tumour) opened my eyes to the lack of effective treatment options available to him for his condition. Lack of funding for research into this dreadful disease meant trials were few and far between and only in their early stages.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
Thank you for taking the time to come to this page and helping me reach my target in Ant's memory.
