On 20 July, we lost Award Winning Norfolk textile artist Abigail Mill, to a brain tumour. Abbi only first started experiencing symptoms in December of last year and was diagnosed in April of this year.

Abbi was a technicolour bird of paradise who inspired everyone who met her and encouraged them to follow their creative dreams. She was always at the heart of the community wherever she was. She filled our worlds with colour, light, joy and laughter. The world will be a less colourful place without her brilliance.

As well as her partner Dave, Abbi leaves her daughters Amy and Bunny, parents Gerry and Cass, sister Sam, twin brother Casper, sister in law Penny and nephews and niece Gus, Rory and Iona and dog Monty 😊

Abbi was a keen supporter of many charities. Time to ‘Put The Big Girl Pants On’ to get through this was a phrase she used on many days during her short illness and she and the family were supported by the Big C during this time.

Big C, established in Norfolk in 1980, is your local cancer charity. Through support, research, equipment and education, they make a difference to the lives of local people affected by cancer. Big C currently has four Cancer Support & Information centres across Norfolk. The charity also provides support by telephone and online. The Centres are used by thousands of people affected by cancer with trained staff providing emotional help, support and complementary therapies.
