Tent for Lent 2025
Fundraising for ShelterBox
Fundraising for ShelterBox
After the success of Tent for Lent 2 years ago, when I slept in a small tent for 40 nights I thought another challenge as the need for boxes seems greater than ever, I am calling this one 80-80.
On Thursday 13th March which is my 80th Birthday I intend to cycle 80km.in one day.
I have a 10km route taking in two Fen villages which I will repeat 8 times, with a "Support Team" who will cycle with me 10k each.
If you could sponsor me it will be much appreciated.
Thank you so much everyone for your support, I have now exceeded my target which is amazing, I now wonder can I get to £1.770 which would buy 3 ShelterBoxes,
it has been difficult training, due to adverse weather at the beginning of the year , but with a turbo cycle in my dining room !! and now the better weather I hope I have done enough.
I DID IT
I can't thank everyone enough for the amazing support, again exceeded my target, now over £2,000.
I could not have done it without my lap cyclists and everyone who helped at Pymoor who were there with refreshments for my supporters and were also so encouraging after each lap.
I did catch a pothole on lap five and fell off my bike, but only a bruised elbow and knee so carried on, very lucky.
Love, Valerie.
