At 1200 on Saturday 1st June, to mark the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings, URNU Solent are taking on a 24 hour running event in Eastney, Portsmouth. We will be using this event to fundraise for our partnered charity, Veterans Outreach Support, who run drop in advice, social group & mental health clinics around Portsmouth and on the Isle of Wight.

This will be a physically challenging relay event where runners (both students and staff) will set off in groups to complete a ~5.00km loop. Upon returning to the start/finish location on the Eastney Seafront, the next group will set off so as to continue the 24 hour running progression.

Our ‘Longest Day’ event will reinforce our pride in the memory of those who fought for our freedom, raise awareness for those who serve for our country today and support local veterans.
