Story

Hi Everyone!

Every year in December, Urban Freestyle have a fundraiser for charity to show our support and raise vital money for organisations working with animals in need.

This year, we have decided to support Breaking the Chains, an organisation which specialises in rescuing animals of all types from dangerous and challenging conditions worldwide. They are currently working on the ground in both Ukraine and Gaza to provide relief to animals affected by war, be that through abandonment, neglect, injury, starvation, disease or even being eaten by people in the most desperate of situations.

I can only imagine how brave the wonderful team at Breaking the Chains must be to put their own lives in danger to save these animals, and so I got to thinking what I could do to encourage people to donate to this worthy cause.

After much thought, I decided on SKINNY-DIPPING IN THE SEA! Yep, that's right, every day from the 1st December right up until Christmas Eve, I will be getting into the freezing cold Irish Sea wearing absolutely nothing except my collar for public decency reasons, or course.

But we need your donations! If you can, please consider sponsoring me to give me that extra boost to get in the cold water on the really chilly winter mornings. It's going to be a challenge but I am determined to do this for the animals!

About the charity

Breaking the Chains International is a charitable organisation founded by Tom S-N in February 2022 amidst the war between Russia and Ukraine. We specialise in rescuing animals of all species and sizes from arduous conditions around the world, and are committed to providing relief and aid to animals affected by conflict, disasters, and other emergencies. Our mission goes beyond just rescue operation. With a shelter in Ukraine, we are committed to rehabilitating animals physically and emotionally. By providing medical treatment, nourishment and a nurturing environment, we ensure they receive the care and compassion they need to recover from their past experiences. At Breaking the Chains, our mission is driven by compassion, empathy, and a deep love for animals. We believe that every life is valuable and that animals deserve to be protected and cared for, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
