Exercising in May
Move in May is our new campaign to encourage the local community to move more, feel better and support Mind in Salford. Take on your own virtual challenge whilst making a difference!

Story

By moving your body you will feel increased blood flow in the brain. Immediately, the brain cells will start functioning at a higher level, making you feel more alert and awake during exercise and more focused afterward.

Exercise also triggers a surge of chemical messengers in the brain called neurotransmitters, which include endorphins, often known as the cause of the mythical "runner's high."

You'll also likely feel better thanks to a bump in serotonin, a neurotransmitter well known for its role in mood and depression.

So, lets get moving, get our blood pumping and encourage the natural bump that will make you feel more positive!

All the sponsorship that you raise will go directly to Mind in Salford, to support their services in helping people in the local community to have better mental health.
