Story
On Impact Day this year, UM are supporting UN Women UK by taking part in the Climate Justice Challenge.
The climate crisis is not gender neutral. As its impacts worsen, women and girls are experiencing unique harm and with the fallout amplifying existing gender inequalities, women and girls face a disproportionate threat of displacement, poverty and violence.
But women and girls are also a powerful force in climate action. As innovators in green energy. As defenders of the environment and as community leaders, women are at the forefront of the fight against climate change, leading prevention, mitigation and adaptation efforts around the world.
UN Women work with their partners across the world to support and implement various programmes empowering women in the fight against climate change.
JOIN US as we take part in the UN Women UK #ClimateJusticeChallenge where we'll travel the circumference of the globe to raise awareness and funds for women.
