Thanks for taking the time to visit the Rotary Club of Swaffham JustGiving page.

Our current campaign is to raise funds to operate a 5-tonne vehicle such as the one pictured to distribute aid within Ukraine. This will take the generous international charity that is stored in many well stocked warehouses in major cities and hand it to the individual families and people who so desperately need it. One of our Rotarians has already made 15 trips to Odesa, Kherson and other places in his articulated lorry and has seen that the donated goods are often not being taken on the final leg because of a lack of suitable ‘last mile’ delivery vehicle.

A nimble all terrain wagon to get through on the smaller roads can be flexible enough to take supplies to the real point of need. In this way international charity is not wasted, the aid and assistance is given to those who so urgently need it, and we remind the proud Ukrainians fighting for their lives and livelihood and country that we have not forgotten them and that we still care.
