Story
Utah family physicians, you can help feed Utah families this year by donating food or funds! Here are the ways you can be a part of our state-wide drive:
*Donate funds to the Utah Food Bank*
In honor of the Utah Academy of Family Physician's 75th Anniversary, we would like to raise $7500 for the Utah Food Bank by the end of the year! We know it's an ambitious goal, but with nearly 1200 caring members through the state, we believe we can meet or even exceed that goal. Utah Food Bank can stretch each $1 donated into $9.04 worth of goods and services, so every donation truly has an impact.**
*Host a food drive at your clinic, residency, school - or even in your own kitchen!*
There are several ways you can donate non-perishable food to the Utah Food Bank. Learn more at https://utahafp.org/family-docs-feed-families/
About the Utah Food Bank:
For over 118 years, Utah Food Bank has stayed true to its objective of serving those in need throughout our state. They work tirelessly with community partners and volunteers to continue making an impact and fulfilling our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide.
Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 56.1 million meals via a statewide network of 230 partner agencies located in all 29 counties. In addition to being one of only a handful of food banks nationwide that distributes food free-of-charge to partner agencies, they also offer several direct service programs to help the most vulnerable populations in our state - children and seniors.
**Utah Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized by the IRS. Your donation receipt will be sent to you for tax-filing purposes.
