Story

I was incredibly close to my Grandma Carole before she passed away, she taught me how to knit and sew, make and bake, I learned so much from her in such a short space of time. Towards the end of her life, some of her happiest days were the ones spent at the hospice and I'll forever remember how excited she was to share with me the new crafts she'd made that day and wanted to us recreate. The hospice provided her an escape from her fears which made such a difference and helped her to get through the tough days. At the time, I was too young to understand what was going on but as I've gotten older and heard stories about my wonderful grandma, I've realised just how much the hospice did for her, my family and I will be forever grateful.

On the 12th August 2023, a group of Halton Haven Warriors will be doing a skydive to raise money for this incredible place...and I will be one of them! I'm slightly terrified, but, what better way to raise money for a place close to my heart than to do something that I will remember for the rest of my life.

'Halton Haven Hospice is at the heart of our community providing incredible end of life care to those living with terminal illness.

Our services are completely free of charge. We are part funded but to continue to offer this important service we need your help to raise vital funds. It costs £2.3 million each year to run Halton Haven, thats £6,301 every day.'
