Last week, we sadly lost a beautiful friend and fellow Leeds Athletics member. Grace Elizabeth Nevens tragically took her own life on the 4th November 2024.

Grace was the most beautiful and genuine girl, with a heart of gold and a smile that lit up the room. I feel so privileged to have known her and so grateful for the memories we have together.

In honour of her life, I will be running a kilometre every hour for 22 hours, for the 22 years that our angel Grace spent with us.

As a team, we will be raising money and awareness for the mental health charity MIND. This is a charity that Grace volunteered for to help others, despite her own mental health struggles, as that was the kind of person she was.
