Story

Welcome to our fundraising page for Tupton Hall School's initiative to support men's mental health. Throughout November, our dedicated staff and students are coming together to raise awareness and funds for the Andy's Man Club charity.

Why Men's Mental Health Matters:

We believe that it's essential to address the stigma surrounding men's mental health and provide support for those who are struggling. Men are often less likely to talk about their mental health and Andy's Man Club is a charity committed to breaking down the barriers and offering a safe space for men to open up about their feelings and experiences.

How We're Making a Difference:

Our staff and students are taking on a variety of pledges throughout November to contribute to this vital cause. Here are some:

1. Grow a Mo: Some of our brave teachers are participating in Movember by growing moustaches to raise awareness and encourage conversations about men's mental health.

2. Run/Cycle/Swim for Change: Some staff members are setting themselves challenging running, cycling or swimming goals to show their commitment to the cause and our brave 6th Formers are going to be running a 60km relay.

3. Push Up Challenge: Other staff are taking on the challenge of completing a set number of push-ups each day, emphasising the importance of physical and mental well-being.

4. Read for Good: For those who love reading, some staff members have pledged to read a certain number of pages or for a set amount of time per day, promoting relaxation and self-care.

5. Squat and Crunch Challenge: Some dedicated staff will commit to daily sessions of squats and crunches, promoting physical fitness and mental well-being.

6. Daily 30-Minute Exercise: Some staff members have committed to 30 minutes of exercise each day, promoting good physical and mental health.

7. The Clowne Half Marathon: one brave member of staff is taking part in The Clowne Half Marathon during November. A gruelling test of endurance for a fantastic cause!

ANDYSMANCLUB facilitates groups where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their issues in a non judgmental environment through shared experiences. Groups run nationwide every Monday 7pm except bank holidays and are completely volunteer-led with no charge to any man.
