Story
In September, I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!
We also hope to open discussions with the authorities in Kenya about opening a biobank, a region renowned for its rich and diverse wildlife. Using advanced cryopreservation technology, we aim to safeguard genetic material to ensure that even if a species becomes extinct in the wild, their genetic information is preserved for potential future restoration. By providing knowledge transfer to local conservation services, we will ensure that the ownership of samples remains within their home country.
The trip will begin with our dedicated and intrepid team of four - Tony, Verity, Zoe and myself - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise essential funds for Nature’s SAFE, in addition to meeting with local prospective conservation partners. All trip expenses have been paid by the individuals, who will also have the opportunity to visit the remaining two white rhinos and work closely with the critically endangered Bongo to aid in their preservation.
Your help can significantly impact our conservation efforts, both in the UK and across Africa. Please donate whatever you can to this worthy charity. Every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated!
THANK YOU!
