Story
Our final event for the David Cox Initiative this year will be a London to Manchester triathlon relay. Starting at our London office, we will run, swim and cycle our way to our Manchester HQ.
Our team will challenge themselves from Monday 16th September and cross the finishing line on Friday 19th September.
Why are we doing this?
In December 2019 we lost our friend and colleague, David Cox, who passed suddenly following a heart attack whilst recuperating from a motorcycle accident.
‘Work hard, play hard’ was David’s approach, outside of work sport played a big role in his life, an accomplished distance runner, he competed in marathons around the world and completed 5 Iron Man events. David also got the TSK team involved in his passions by creating a running group, swimming group and got a team to take part in a number of cycling events including the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride.
We intend to make the ‘David Cox Initiative’ a fitting tribute to a great man who left a lasting impression on TSK and all those who knew him. We are challenging ourselves to raise 25k for the British Heart Foundation between August 23 and July 24, which seems fitting as if there was one this he relished, it was a challenge!
His legacy lives on.
