Story

I'm running the London Marathon this year in memory of my friend Rachel Barnard (1990-2023), and I'll be doing this as part of Team Rachel's Warriors! (see below).

I know times are tough: any support is greatly appreciated. The Marathon will be the third of my fundraising activities after last year's Ride London-Essex 100 mile cycle and the 2 mile Swim Serpentine.

Any help to get me over the final finish line would be very welcome!!

Many thanks, Tristan

In memory of Rachel Barnard we are fundraising for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital.

Rachel sadly died from Triple Negative Secondary Breast Cancer in May 2023. She was married to Alaster in August 2022 and leaves behind devastated family and friends who were all very proud to have her in their lives.

We're raising funds so the Lynda Jackson cancer team can carry on supporting patients like Rachel and their families.

Find out more about Rachel here.

The Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre was opened in June 1993 to provide support and information to people affected by cancer. It was one of the first centres of its kind. The LJMC provides a service that supports patients and their families and helps them cope with all aspects of the disease from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
