Story
We're raising £10,000 for GOSH and The Sick Children's Trust. We have already reached our £5000 target for GOSH and this is the page for the second £5000 to support the Sick Children's Trust.
On 22nd March, 2024 our daughter Octavia “Tavie” nearly died from Strep A Sepsis. After a horrific and scary few weeks, she is now in recovery, but will continue her life with disability after amputation of her right lower limb. We wanted to share our story and raise awareness and support for the charities who have supported us and the causes which are now very close to our hearts.
To celebrate her recovery, we are hosting a charity bike ride from 26-30th July, 2024. Cyclists will take on 500km in 5 days between Norfolk and Cardiff- via GOSH (for more info on the bike ride please visit www.ridefortavie.com). Cyclist and non/ cyclists are all welcome to come to support and be involved (for more info on getting involved visit the website).
All donations will go to GOSH Charity and the Sick Children’s Trust. Our aim is to raise awareness of Group A Strep sepsis; and being a child with a visible difference (refer to ‘raising awareness’ for more information on the website).
