I have spent the last two years at work in Dorchester managing a building project to create a new wing of the county hospital, including an A&E and Critical Care unit. The hospital charity are doing an amazing job raising funds for the extras that the NHS funding can’t pay for. Things like a roof garden for critical care patients to get fresh air and sunlight and relatives accommodation to offer families at difficult times. To support this effort myself and members of the project team are taking part in the “DCH 100” event on the 18/19 May. Running, walking and crawling various distances along the Dorset coastline. I’m running 20 miles of horrendous hills between Corfe Castle and Weymouth.
