I am truly lucky to manage the West Park Warrior Basketball Team and to join in the fundraising efforts with my son Jake, and the whole Warriors Basketball Team! It may sound corny, but every person on this team makes an effort to bring 100% to all they do, both at work and yearly at The Tournament of Stars.

At West Park, people reach there health care goals because of the passion and expertise of our healthcare professionals. We are now only a few days away from game day and I wanted to give a shout out to all of you for your amazing support. If you haven't had time to donate to the team as of yet please do so as the draft is Friday and our draft pick depends on your generosity.

I would also like to give a shout out to Jamoi Anderson, who 18 years ago was one of the first patients I met when I started at West Park on the Amputee unit. Everyone he met was touched by his presence and his fight to regain his independence. Prior to his amputation, Jamoi led an active life and was an All Canadian Champion Basketball player. Losing his leg did not slow him down, if anything, it motivated him. His enthusiasm for life is contagious. He has played in the TOS every year as a West Park Warrior and he NBA Alumni know to watch out for this Superstar athlete who has matched many of them in skill level and maybe even outdid a few!

Please help us to reach our fundraising goal of 20,000 dollars. Your donation will help patients like Jamoi, and the many people who need West Park’s specialized rehabilitation and complex care programs to continue to get their lives back.
