Story

I am fundraising for 'Space4Autism' in Macclesfield by running, cycling and swimming. From 4th September I am cumulatively completing 3 "Ironperson's" worth of triathlon activity plus running the Manchester Half Marathon on October 15th.
I will:
- Swim a total distance of 7.2 miles.
- Cycle a distance of 336 miles.
- Run a total distance of 78.6 miles (Plus 13.1 miles in the Manchester Half-Marathon).
TOTAL DISTANCE: 434.9 miles (221 miles completed as of 19th October).

I am supporting Space4Autism (S4A) following their incredible support, which has been genuinely life-changing for me.
Following my Autism diagnosis in 2020, I struggled to find my place in the world - building a new life and livelihood following a 12-year career that ended suddenly due to burnout. I was on a 2 year waiting list for basic therapy via the NHS, but after moving to Macclesfield and visiting S4A in summer 2021 I was immediately given multiple channels of support that allowed me to better understand my autism and build a new life around my skills and passions.
Unfortunately, S4A have had a funding cut of 25% in 2023 and have had to cancel some of the support that I was fortunate to access, as well as summer clubs and other activities - meaning that other people won't be able to access the help that I did. I want to say 'Thank you' to S4A and help to raise some money so that they can continue to offer support to local autistic people, their families and support networks.
It is undoubtedly a tough time across society and I understand people's finances have to go further than ever before. I truly appreciate every donation.

Space4Autism was set up by parents in 2005. We are a voluntary run charity and we support the whole family by running over 4000 activities per year for all ages living with ASC
