Story
Last year I lost a very close friend of mine to mental health and have decided to run a half marathon in memory of the beautiful Trey. I’m hoping that this run will help to raise awareness of these exact mental health struggles that so many young people face and to act as a reminder that you’re never alone - someone is always willing to listen. I’m fundraising for Gullys place who are a massively important charity that have hugely supported Trey’s family since losing him.
Trey would never believe that I’d be doing something like this for him and I can guarantee he’s definitely laughing at me for it with that huge smile he always had. He was such a special boy and he won’t ever be forgotten by the lucky people that got to love him 🧡
The loss of Trey caused such a massive impact for the great number of those around him and hopefully this can be used as a reminder that those people will never ever forget his extremely caring, hilarious, loving soul & the hole that was left in so many lives after losing him. Trey’s memory will live on forever, the best friend, cousin, brother and son anyone could ever ask for.
Any donations would be so greatly appreciated, thank you. My cheeky chappy forever x
**Across Dorset, there are around 400 infants, children and young people with a life-limiting or life-threatening illness. These children can have a short life expectancy and may not survive to adulthood. They may need palliative care for weeks, months or years before the approach to end of life. Gullys Place Trust Fund has been developed to support these children and their families from diagnosis to death and beyond, including bereavement support. The Gullys Place Suites, provide children and their families with a comfortable and homely environment, with professional support on hand. We also extend that support to recreate the Gullys Place environment wherever care is needed, be it in hospital, home or elsewhere.
Gully's Place is part of University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity - registered charity no. 1057366.
