WRAS founder Trevor Weeks is celebrating his 40th year helping wildlife and WRAS's 30th year with an Anniversary Appeal.

Story

I am embarking on an 80-mile walk in March to raise funds for our Anniversary Appeal!

I will begin at the Kent and East Sussex border, at Bewl Water, and will make my way around the county, concluding at Eastbourne Seafront.

Day 1: Bewl Water to Mayfield – 8.8 miles.

Day 2: Mayfield to Heathfield – 5.6 miles.

Day 3: Heathfield to Framfield – 6.4 miles.

Day 4: Framfield to Isfield – 7.6 miles.

Day 5: Isfield to Lewes – 6.2 miles.

Day 6: Lewes to Newhaven – 7.0 miles.

Day 7: Newhaven to Exceat – 7.5 miles.

Day 8: Exceat to Arlington – 7.6 miles.

Day 9: Arlington to Hailsham – 8.3 miles.

Day 10: Hailsham to Hampden Park – 8.1 miles.

Day 11: Hampden Park to Eastbourne Pier – 8.0 miles.

While I continue to work at WRAS and fulfill my regular duties, including being "on-call" at nights, I have organized the walk into manageable segments, which I plan to cover throughout March!

As the date approaches, I will share a schedule so that others can join me along the route and even engage in their own fundraising efforts as part of my walk.

Please support our Anniversary Appeal. Our award-winning charity has assisted over 74,000 casualties since Trevor started in 1985.

WRAS is not just an animal charity; it also benefits the community by:

Offering transport for those in need.

Ensuring safety from dangerous animals and risky situations.

Assisting those with phobias and disabilities.

Providing relief during stressful and anxious moments.

Offering free access to veterinary care.

Supporting local conservation and biodiversity.

Creating valuable volunteering opportunities.

Additionally, we help prevent the suffering of countless local wildlife, which increasingly comes into conflict with humans due to ongoing development and encroachment on our countryside.

Your support, no matter how small, CAN make a difference!

THANK YOU!
