Story
As many of my friends and family know I have worked within the care community for many years. During this time I have cared and assisted many people with Dementia and supported their families.
It’s not until a loved one is diagnosed with this awful disease that the extent of the emotional and physical hardships it causes are truly brought home. I can now speak from not just in a working capacity, but a personal one and I can honestly say it is heart breaking, especially to the people that are the closest to the person.
I have decided to do this skydive, much to the horror of my wife and daughter. (Anne can’t look when I go up a ladder, let alone jump out of a plane)
I am hoping to raise awareness and of course some funds to enable Alzheimer’s Society to carry on with their amazing work and research.
The skydive will be within the next 4 months, I will update you when the date is confirmed.
Any pennies that you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
