The Sandals Foundation Island Challenge - Saint Vincent 2024, 11 October 2024
A 50-mile physical challenge aiming to raise £100,000 to fund life-saving equipment for children’s healthcare facilities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and to support the hurricane relief mission in the Southern Grenadine islands.

Story

We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of this year’s Island Challenge in partnership with the Sandals Foundation and Sandals Resorts. In Trending Travel fashion, we have selected one of the UK's most beloved fitness influencers, Zoe Rae, to represent us in this incredible event.

Building on the success of the 2023 Sandals Foundation Island Run in Antigua, the Island Challenge - Saint Vincent 2024 aims to raise up to £100,000 in support of critical causes. Zoe, along with her husband Danny, will undertake the gruelling 50km challenge, but it will be a rewarding journey as all proceeds will go toward enhancing pediatric healthcare services in Saint Vincent, including much-needed equipment for the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will contribute to hurricane relief efforts in the Southern Grenadine islands, specifically aiding healthcare facilities affected by Hurricane Beryl.

The Challenge Breakdown:

• Day 1: Half marathon

• Day 2: 15km run and 10km sea kayak in Bequia

• Day 3: 15km run and 10km sea kayak in St. Vincent

• Day 4: 10km hike up an active volcano

We look forward to supporting this vital cause and hope to make a meaningful impact in the region. This is a fantastic charity and we would love your support to help reach out to support those in need.

Thank you, Trending Travel team!
