On the 19th May we will be completing a walk from St Annes to Blackpool North Pier to raise money for a local charity Solace @ Empowerment. This charity is very close to our hearts here at the Travel Village as its helped one of our colleagues daughter greatly after she lost her dad to suicide last July

Solace is a prevention and postvention service based at Empowerment Charity, that help’s families, friends and the wider community affected by suicide, offering peer support and therapeutic services, by providing a single point of access system to collaborate with local services and resources. This will assist individuals to navigate their difficult journey with a streamlined approach tailored to their needs

Solace has helped Eloise and Becky greatly with counselling and helping get Eloise back in to school, they've been there offering support since the day after this awful tragedy happened.

As a thank you for all they're guidance and support, here at the Travel Village we wanted to raise funds and also raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental illness to stop other families suffering with the aftermath of suicide like Eloise has.
