Story
We (Ross and Phoebe) are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. This coming November we will attempt to hike the nearly 3,000 kilometre Te Araroa trail which spans the length of New Zealand. This exciting challenge will be in aid of St. Peter’s Hospice, an incredible charity near to our hearts, as they provided exceptional care and support to Phoebe’s father and family in the difficult time before his passing in July 2023. Therefore, alongside the preparation for our trip, we will be fundraising for this remarkable charity, so they can continue to help people through the most difficult time in their lives.
We believe everyone deserves care and dignity at the end of their life, and so do the people surrounding them. St Peter's Hospice's support is holistic, and covers the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual issues that can arise as a result of serious illness. They also extend their care to loved ones and carers, providing respite during the hardest of times.
Thanks to donations like yours, St. Peter's Hospice can be a comforting voice on the phone, a nurse at the doorstep, and a hand to hold through the darkest times. Here's how your contributions can make a difference:
- £10 provides a bereavement visit to a child or loved one.
- £180 funds a patient's attendance at the Day Hospice for one day.
- £500 covers medical supplies for one patient, including needles and dressings.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s supported us, whether by donating money to the hospice or just cheering us on and telling us we're not completely out of our minds.
Lots of love and probably blisters,
Ross and Phoebe x x
