On 27th April 2025 I'm running the London Marathon. I’ve always wanted to complete this amazing event before I’m 50 so this is my last chance!! I also want to make a difference to peoples lives by raising as much money as possible.

I will be running for Hospice UK. My mother in law Joan had end of life care at Barnsley Hospice and they made the very difficult time as peaceful as possible. My mum Ann was also likely to need support from hospice UK but unfortunately this was not possible.

Hospices are needed by so many people and therefore the fundraising is vitally important to allow them to support as many families as possible. Currently hospices are underfunded and under immense pressure.

Hospice care eases the pain of death and dying, letting people focus on living, right until the end. Too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.

I really appreciate any amount of money you can spare to support me and this worthwhile cause. Believe me it will be at the front of my mind when things get tough in my training and the actual marathon.
