Story
To raise funds in memory of elephant, Pole Pole and to end captive elephant exploitation - and as a focus and a challenge for me during bilateral hip replacement recovery.
At the end of January 2023, I had my right hip replaced. The recovery has been ‘a thing’ and has hastened the need to replace my left hip - this was replaced on 24th May. I am hoping this will give me an opportunity to walk without pain and crutches or Zimmer frame. So I am challenging myself to walk three miles on 12th August 2023 to raise funds and awareness to end captive elephant exploitation. It will be the most I have walked at any one time, in over five years.
This 3 miles will include my young granddaughters who will walk with me and we will support each other. They have their own page for fundraising attached to this - ‘granny and her girls’
Thanks reading and for your support
Kind regards
Tracy
