Story
Pilgrims Hospices provided absolutely invaluable support and care to my husband, Paul, and those close to him through the heartbreaking physical and emotional trials and complexities of Motor Neurone Disease. Thanet Hospice also afforded him dignity, privacy and a peaceful environment during his final days with us.
At a time when charities struggle more than ever for volunteers and funding and as I am not a runner, I will stand on top of an airborne biplane on the 8th September 2024 to seek donations to help more people benefit from Pilgrim’s care.
All donations, large or small, are really appreciated.
Pilgrims Hospices nurses and support staff provide skilled and compassionate end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illness across east Kent.
£10 could pay for a patient's meals for the day.
£20 could provide a physiotherapy session to help a patient stay active and enjoy time at home with their family.
£30 could enable our Community Team to hold a consultation with a patient in their own home.
£45 could pay for one-on-one counselling for someone struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one.
By sponsoring my challenge, you'll be helping Pilgrims Hospices to be there for the next family who need their specialist care.
Thank you!
