The Appledore Lifeboat Station joined the RNLI in 1855, today its volunteers operate a 24-hour search and rescue service along the north coast of Devon. To do this they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern station to launch from.

Story

I must be slightly mad but having survived wing-walking I'm now looking to throw myself out of an airplane 3 miles high, to raise money for the RNLI in its 200th year and in particular the crew at Appledore where Mike is a fundraising volunteer. Any donations you can provide towards my target would be much appreciated

Appledore’s lifeboat station was established in 1825 and has served the community for nearly 200 years. The volunteer lifeboat crew provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year, but none of this would be possible without the support of the public and their donations. It costs in the region of £250k a year to run and maintain the service in Appledore, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.

Your donation will help to fund the selfless work of our volunteer lifeboat crew in Appledore, by doing so you will be helping to save lives around our coast and will be providing the best equipment possible to ensure the safety of our volunteers.
