I must be slightly mad but having survived wing-walking I'm now looking to throw myself out of an airplane 3 miles high, to raise money for the RNLI in its 200th year and in particular the crew at Appledore where Mike is a fundraising volunteer. Appledore’s lifeboat station was established in 1825 and has served the community for nearly 200 years. The volunteer lifeboat crew provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year, but none of this would be possible without the support of the public and their donations. It costs in the region of £250k a year to run and maintain the service in Appledore, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.
